Our story:
After spending vacations for years in our boat in Torrevieja, we agreed to sell the boat and buy a house instead.
We agreed quickly that we what we wanted was views, landscape and sunshine, so we set our eyes on the fantastic coast of Costa Blanca. Mainly Calpe, Benissa and Moraira situated about 50 km north of Alicante airport.
Being Danish it is important for us to be able to use the house all year round, which puts significant importance on the sun in the winter, which proved to be quite a challenge in the mountain rich landscape, still requiring sea or city views.
Buying a house in Spain is not necessary the easiest action, with a lack of knowledge of the area, the many agents of questionable honor and ethics, and houses listed which does not have information regarding errors or exact placing.
After a few trips to Spain, spending a lot of time on houses which was not at all what we were looking for, I started investigating the area myself, and it became a sport, and now I am accused by local agents to know the area better than they do. By now I have over 200 houses and placements in our catalogue.
In the end I chose 2 agents I trust, and I chose the houses of interest and sent the agents directly to the owners.
After 2 years we finally found the right house to the right price.
